5.15 Cleaning Procedure:

  • While Cleaning keep the Instrument in “OFF” Condition.
  • Wipe out outer surface with clean smooth cloth.
  • Ensure proper cleaning of Instrument.

5.16 Calibration Procedure:

• Insert the Calibration Arm into the mounting block that is affixed to the bottom front of the Torque Meter.

• Arrange the block in line with the center and tighten the calibration arm into position with the socket head cap screw.

• Insert the Calibration Cable Pins into the port located under and above the Calibration Disk Shoulder.

• Position the cable in such a way that one lies on the right and the other lies on the left of the Calibration Disk.

• Bring both cables over the Calibration Arm and allow the cables to hang freely.

• Press and hold the start button to access user menu, display shows “U01”, then release the start button. Choose user menu item number 03 by using first button to change display so that display now shows “U03”.

• Press and release the start button, display flashes “0000”. Display will show “7 00”, wait for a few minutes until second display shows “0.0”. At this point, the Torque Meter is taring the force on the load cell as zero. After a few more seconds, the display will read “2”.

• Keep a 2 kg hook weight on left calibration cable, allow it to stabilize.

• Gently press and release start button to take calibration value. Wait for the display to return to 0.0, then remove 2 kg weight.

• Press and release start button to calibrate counter anti-clockwise Torque.

• Display will show “7 00”, wait for a few minutes until second display shows “0.0”. After a few more seconds, the display will read “2”.

• Keep a 2 kg hook weight on right calibration cable and allow it to stabilize.

• Gently press and release start button to take calibration value. Exit function. Wait for display to return to 0.0.

5.17 Verification Procedure:

• Repeat the applicable steps above.

• Press and hold the start button to access user menu, display shows “U01”, then release the start button. Choose user menu item number 04 by using first button to change display so that display now shows “U 04”.

• The Torque meter is now in Live Mode. Gently hang and release the weight on either the left or right cable depending on whether you wish to verify opening or closing torque respectively.

• Wait until the weight has stopped moving and is completely stable. You may use your hand to stabilize the weight more quickly.

• Push the print button on the front panel to print a comparison of the target and measured values.

• Repeat the step (as applicable) for other weights. To complete the Calibration Verification Report function and obtain a printout, press and hold the start button for 2 seconds.
